One-Millimetre Journal

By Charles Etheridge-Nunn

First Entry
Johnny, my lab partner, betrayed me today. We’d worked on the shrink ray for four years and he betrayed me just so he could take all of the credit. He shrank me to the size of an insect.
Then he realised his mistake. We had sealed ourselves in our lab thanks to mutual paranoia, each of us held one of the keys necessary to get in or out. Our shrink ray was irreversible, there was no escape.
Johnny blew his brains out. Good. I’ll be able to live off the remains until I can find a way out.
